64 Squares-64 players
at First Saturday Budapest August events

64 players of 18 countries (AUS, IRL, HUN, MNE, BUL, LEB, USA, GER, RUS, VIE, ITA, ENG, CHN, ISR, ISL, SLO, DEN, NED, ) , came together this month for the First Saturday events which is held monthly, regularly in the Hungarian Chess Federation. Six groups have been formed on the basis of ratings.

The GM-group is dedicated to the memory of Borloy-Androvitzky Karoly who died 10 years ago.

The well-known Hungarian master was a pioneer of the introduction of a numerical system measuring the performance of chess players. He submitted several ideas to FIDE and to the Hungarian Chess Federation earlier than the Elo-system was finally introduced.
The GM norm is 8.5 points to be achieved of 11 games that looks to be hard for anyone.

IM Kargin Arseny (RUS) a mathematician from Novosibirsk has taken the most promising start, 3 out of 4.

There are two IM-title groups and three more groups just for FIDE-ratings.
